Our lab continues to grow! Surface Science Western is welcoming the newest member to our team, Baian Almusned. Baian is joining our mineralogy group to help industrial companies improve the recovery of their precious metals. Her work will help these companies optimize their metallurgical operations. Baian has experience in dynamic secondary ion mass spectrometry (D-SIMS), scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (SEM/EDX), laser Raman spectroscopy, and different methods of sample preparation.
