Surface Science Western proudly sponsored this year’s Aqueous Corrosion Gordon Research Conference, which brought together high-calibre researchers from around the world to discuss recent advances in materials and corrosion research. Dr. Jamie Noël, Affiliate Member of Surface Science Western and Associate Professor (Chemistry, Western University), served as the Chair for this conference. Dr. Yolanda Hedberg, also an Affiliate Member of Surface Science Western and Assistant Professor (Chemistry, Western University), participated and spoke at this event. This meeting was held in conjunction with a Gordon Research Seminar on Aqueous Corrosion, which served as a unique forum for students to present their data among their fellow students.
The photo above shows Dr. Noël and some of the members of his research lab at the top of Mt. Kearsarge. This hike was part of the scheduled leisure time at the conference.
